Why do some products cost more than others? What determines supply and demand? Why is petrol heavily taxed? How do companies like Amazon, Apple, and Walmart compete?
In AP Microeconomics, you’ll explore how individuals and businesses make decisions that shape our economy. You’ll learn about:
- How consumers decide what to buy and how many hours to work
- How businesses determine prices, wages, and production levels
- How different market structures—like monopolies and competitive markets—affect business strategies
- The benefits and challenges of international trade
- The role of government in regulating markets and addressing economic inefficiencies
Throughout the course, you’ll analyze economic outcomes through the lens of efficiency and fairness, helping you understand the real-world impact of economic policies. Whether you’re interested in business, government, or just want a strong foundation in economic principles, this course will give you the tools to think like an economist.
