Course Description
This self-paced AP Biology course is designed to help students excel on the College Board AP Biology exam while fostering a deep understanding of the living world. Through engaging modules, students will explore key topics such as the chemistry of life, cell structure and function, enzymes and metabolism, heredity, molecular genetics, evolutionary theory, organismal structure and function, and ecological relationships. Students will also develop essential scientific thinking skills, including the use of the scientific method, experimental design, and both inductive and deductive reasoning. They will connect biology to other scientific disciplines—such as understanding how chemistry drives cellular processes or how probability relates to genetics—while building a strong foundation of biological terminology.
Students will have access to review course material, quizzes, and exams in an interactive and engaging way. Interactive independent laboratory exercises will reinforce key concepts, teaching students how to think and work like scientists while preparing them for lab-based questions on the AP Biology exam. These activities emphasize individual discovery while incorporating insights from collaborative scientific research, reflecting real-world scientific practices.
Success in this course requires active participation, self-motivation, and a willingness to engage deeply with the material. With a proven track record of students achieving high scores on the AP Biology exam, this course provides the tools, resources, and support needed to succeed. However, outcomes are directly tied to a student’s prior biology knowledge, commitment, and effort. If you’re ready to dive into the fascinating study of life and prepare for AP exam success, this course is your opportunity to thrive!
