Jodi King Reviews

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Mrs. King, who was my homeroom, biomedical, and AP biology teacher at Chartiers Valley High School. Having been one of her students, I can confidently say that she is one of the most impactful and dedicated educators I’ve had the privilege of learning from.
Mrs. King was my homeroom teacher for all 4 years of high school, I took her biomedical science class for 3 years, had her for AP biology, and was her teaching assistant my senior year. Mrs. King consistently demonstrated passion, patience, and creativity in her teaching. Her classroom was a place of encouragement and engagement, where every student was pushed to reach their full potential. She taught me how to think critically, analyze situations, and to be confident in my abilities.
Her positive influence went beyond academics, and I carry many of the lessons she taught me into my life today. Mrs. King assisted me in practice interviews which got me accepted into a Physician Assistant program and set me up for success in the future. She also remains my biggest cheerleader and I give her so much credit for where I am today.

My name is Autumn W., and I’m currently a freshman at Penn State University. I’m grateful to have had Mrs. King as one of my teachers. One of my first classes in high school was Principles of Biomedical Sciences, and it came at a time when I wasn’t feeling particularly motivated, especially after coming out of quarantine. Mrs. King, however, never gave up on me or any of my classmates. She consistently pushed us to give our best effort, and in doing so, she helped me grow in ways I hadn’t expected.
Mrs. King taught me how to tackle challenging questions, manage my time well, and build skills I use every day as a college student. When I took AP Biology with her during my senior year, I was able to apply these skills and take on new challenges confidently.
Mrs. King taught me more than just science. She didn’t just prepare me for exams—she prepared me for life. She showed me what it means to be not just a good student, but a great one. Her dedication and passion for teaching left a lasting impact on me, and I can confidently say she shaped me into the person I am today.
I truly hope more students get the chance to experience the kind of learning that Mrs. King promotes. She’s an exceptional teacher, and I feel lucky to have been her student.

My daughter is a current student of Mrs. King at Chartiers Valley High School in the Project Lead the Way Principles of Biomedical Science Class. Mrs. King teaches this rigorous class using hands-on methods that bring the curriculum to life and clearly demonstrate the practical relevance of the newly acquired skills.
She has impacted multiple students throughout her 32 years of instruction at Chartiers Valley and I am proud to include my daughter on that list. She pushes students to excel and challenges them with advanced subject matter. Mrs. King is always available to students and parents to answer questions and give advice. She assisted my daughter in the planning of her future high school class schedule to help her achieve success in the sciences in college. She encouraged my daughter’s academic growth outside of the traditional classroom by recommending unique and science-centered summer programming.
I appreciate Mrs. King’s dedication to her students and to the art of teaching. I highly recommend her as an educator and student mentor.
